8 BILLION CURRENCY SCAM CASE REASSIGNED


- The ongoing trial of central Bank of Nigeria’s N8billion scam in Ibadan has been reassigned to a new judge.

- Justice Joyce Abdul-Maleek takes over from Justice Olayinka Faji who initially handled four of the seven cases.
- At the reopening of hearing, the charges levelled against the accused persons by the EFCC were read to them and they pleaded not guilty.

- Kolawole Babalola, Olaniran Adeola and Togun Philips of the CBN and others are in court for allegedly re-circulating mutilated naira notes to the tune of N8 billion.
