The
Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) had over the weekend alleged that the
abduction of Christian girls, and forceful conversion to Islam was rampant in
Kano state.
-
The trend was already regarded as “regular
occurrence” and Christian leaders had already resigned to fate.
-
Kano state CAN chairman, Bishop Ransom Bello
expressed the association’s frustration, hoping Oruru’s case would help
eradicate the ugly occurrence.
-
The Bishop regretted that the incidence occurred
as a result of the minority level of Christians in the state.
