- - As part of the plan to diversify the economy of
Akwa Ibom State and make it an industrial hub in Nigeria, the state will in the
next six months roll out Made-in-Nigeria Electricity metres for electricity
consumers within and outside Nigeria.
- - The Commissioner for Information and
Communications, Mr. Aniekan Umanah dropped the hint while interacting with
newsmen in his office recently.
- - According to him, the thrust of the
administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel is the industrialization of the state
in order to create wealth and job opportunities for the youths.
- - He maintained that industrialization is a
process which includes licensing and other registration processes.
