AKS GOVERNMENT AUTOMATES REVENUE RECEIPTS TO STRENGTHEN IGR

-          The AKS Government has begun issuance of electronic receipts for all revenue payment as part of effort to build up revenue capacity in the state.

-          The state Governor, Udom Emmanuel stated this in view of the need to tighten loopholes that occasioned fraud and diversion of funds through manual receipts.

-          He said machineries are already in place to facilitate the new process.

-          The state Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) consultant, Mr. Eyo Bassey, said the electronic receipt platform is the right way for the state.
