ARMS DEAL: TROUBLE FOR TOP MILITARY OFFICERS



-          The military segment of the $2.1 billion arms deal fund has landed 12 army officers in trouble with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

-          One Lieutenant Colonel, four Colonels, three Brigadier Generals, one retired Major General and three serving Major Generals are being interrogated by EFCC for their alleged involvement in the arms deal scandal.
-          The army officers were reportedly referred to the anti-graft agency by the army authorities, following an internal probe.
-          Reportedly, a security source versed with the development branded it “a monumental fraud.”
