COURT ORDERS DSS TO RELEASE DETAINED EKITI LAWMAKER

-           A Federal High Court sitting in Ado- Ekiti has ordered the DSS to immediately release the lawmaker representing Efon State Constituency, Hon. Afolabi Akanni.

-          Hon Akanni was taken away when armed men of DSS invaded the Ekiti State House of Assembly.

-          The Presiding Judge, Justice Taiwo Taiwo said the DSS did not meet all the provisions of the 1999 constitution (as amended).

-          The Judge equally barred the DSS from further arresting and detaining Hon. Akanni, added that warrant to produce Hon. Akanni in court should be served on the DSS.
