DSG TO SETTLE EU-NDSP COUNTERPART FUND SOON

-          The Delta State Govt. has assured of its commitment to pay the balance of its own share of the counterpart fund for the water component of the European Union Assistant Niger Delta Support Programme (NDSP) before the end of this month.

-          The Commissioner for Water Resources Development, Sir Okenmor Fidelis Tilije, gave the assurance during the final review of the state water policy held in Asaba.

-          He assured that the governor promised that the balance of the fund will be paid before the end of this month, adding that the kind of passion he has for ensuring sustainable and reliable water supply to all Deltans, he will not renege on the fulfillment on his promise.

-          He noted that a total of N404.8m was the state’s share of the counterpart fund, adding that N200m had already been paid in November, 2015 and assured that the balance will be completed before the end of the month.
