EKET YOUTHS DISRUPT ACTIVITIES AT EXXON MOBIL



- Youths in Eket disrupted activities at Exxon Mobil in protest over non-payment of oil spill compensations.

- The youths led protested and disrupted activities at the Mobil airstrip and housing estate.
- The youth group leader,Mr Godwin Nduaesa lamented that Ibeno, Onna, and esit Eket communities were compensated, but Eket people were not compensated in the exercise.

- Also speaking, Mr Donatus Samuel of Okopedi, where the Mobil airstrip is located, hinted that the company owes compensation worth N 1.7 billion to Eket Community.
