FAYEMI SHUNS EKITI ASSEMBLY SUMMONS OVER N852 M UBEC FUND

-          A former governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi failed to appear before the Ekiti  State House of Assembly on Tuesday.

-          He is alleged to have misappropriated N852 million Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) Funds.

-          Fayemi, through his personal assistant, wrote to the state Assembly, stating that he could not honour the invitation due to prior scheduled state engagements.

-          The Speaker of Ekiti State House of Assembly, Kola Oluwawole said a copy of the letter had been forwarded to the House Committee on Public Accounts and Committee on Finance and Appropriation, for scrutiny.
