- The federal govt has withdrawn the 70 million naira bribery charge levelled against erstwhile minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Elder Godsday Orubebe.
- The Director of public prosecution, Mr Mohammed Diri withdrew the case from Justice Danladi Umar-led Code of Conduct tribunal.
- Diri however said the federal govt will prosecute the erstwhile minister for false declaration of assets.
- Elder Orubebe was indicted for a N70 million charge in October 2015.
