
The federal govt has withdrawn the 70 million naira bribery
charge levelled against erstwhile minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Elder
Godsday Orubebe.
The Director of public prosecution, Mr Mohammed Diri
withdrew the case from Justice Danladi Umar-led Code of Conduct tribunal.
Diri however said the federal govt will prosecute the erstwhile
minister for false declaration of assets.
Elder Orubebe was indicted for a N70 million
charge in October 2015.
