- Reports have it that an army major and three other soldiers
have been shot dead on Thursday evening in Abonnema, Akuku-toru Local
Government Area of Rivers State.
- Witness say the soldiers ran into an ambush set up by
militants.
- This attack happened barely 48 hours to the house of
assembly rerun of elections.
- Meanwhile, President Buhari has advised residents of Rivers state to desist from violent crimes.
