Gov.
Udom says Nigerian women over the years have played pivotal roles in the growth
and development of the country.
- -
Gov
Udom said this as thousands of women from the 31 LGA of A’Ibom State gathered
at the popular Ibom Hall Grounds, recently in what turned out to be a carnival
to celebrate the International Women’s Day in Uyo, the state capital.
- -
The
Gov., who was the special guest of honour at the event, challenged the women to
be relevant in the scheme of things while assuring them of the needed support
of government.
- -
The
Gov’s. Wife Mrs. Martha Udom, commended the state govt. for integrating females
in governance by implementing the 35 percent affirmative action through
appointments into positions of authority and went further to ask for 50
percent.
CULLED FROM GLOBAL PILOT.
