- The Akwa Ibom Governor, Udom Emmanuel, has signed into law a
budget of N423 billion for 2016 fiscal year.
- The ceremony was performed at an enlarged executive council
meeting with some members of the house of assembly, led by the speaker, Hon
Onofiok Luke in attendance.
- The governor noted that the budget, christened “budget of
sustainability” will form the financial base to drive the state development
programme.
- He reiterated the resolve of his government to lift the Akwa
Ibom people to a position of greatness.
