HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY SACKS CHIEF WHIP FOR SUPPORTING FORMER GOVERNOR

-           The Kano State House of Assembly, on Thursday impeached the Chief Whip, Zubairu Mahmud, over his alleged loyalty to former governor of the state, Eng. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

-          The house followed a motion presented by Ahmed Gama, Nassarawa constituency, for the impeachment of the Chief Whip, seconded by majority of the lawmakers.

-          34 0f the 39 members of the house have passed a vote of confidence on the state governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, as APC leader Kano.

-          The house replaced Zubairu Mahmud, Madobi constituency, with Labaran Mabari, Wawara constituency.
