IGP ORDERS WITHDRAWAL OF POLICE ORDERLIES FROM POLITICIANS, INDIVIDUALS



-           Police Inspector- General, Solomon Arase laments the inadequate number of Police in the country, thus urging various state Police Commands to embark on, and strengthen Community Policing in states, to curb criminality.

-          Arase made the call following rising insecurity, and debates over the level of adequacy and competence of the Nigeria Police.
-          The IGP said withdrawal of police orderlies was not applicable to politicians holding top government offices like the Senate President, House Speaker, others.
-          Arase attributed the inadequacies to lack of recruitment into the Force in the past five years, revealing that Buhari’s administration has plans about recruitment.
