INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY: LABOUR AGITATES INCLUSION OF MORE FEMALES IN GOVERNANCE



-          Labour says Nigeria can be among the world 10 leading economies with gender equality.

-          Globally, the International Women’s Day provides opportunity to reflect on the gains made, call for change and celebrate acts of courage and determination by women.
-          A women group, National Union of Textile Garment and Tailoring Workers of Nigeria (NUTGTWN) used the occasion to analyze the challenges facing Nigerian women to include, social, cultural, religion and psychological.
-          The General Secretary of the Union, Issa Aremu called on President Buhari to consolidate on the gains of democracy and involve women in governance by appointing more women.
