LASSA FEVER KILLS 14 PEOPLE IN TARABA

-           Reportedly, Lassa fever has killed 14 people in Taraba state from January till date.

-          The Chairperson, Lassa Fever Committee in the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Jalingo, Dr. Aisha Sani reportedly confirmed this yesterday to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Jalingo.

-          However, she reported that seven suspected Lassa Fever patients on admission in the hospital had fled the facility.

-          According to the doctor, laboratory tests had so far confirmed four cases of the disease, while another four suspected cases were referred to the Institute of Lassa Fever Research and Control, Irrua, Edo.
