LOW VOTER TURNOUT AT AKWA IBOM RERUN ELECTIONS

-           Rerun elections held in four state constituencies in Akwa Ibom on Saturday suffered a low turnout of voters.

-          The rerun in Etinan, Ibesikpo Asutan, Ikot Ekpene/ Obot Akara and Oron constituencies was ordered by the Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja.

-          Allegedly, less than 30 voters were seen, out of the 400 voters registered at Methodist Secondary School, Nto Ndang, Obot Akara LGA.

In Ibesikpo Asutan LGA, less than 30 voters were allegedly seen on queue at St. Paul Primary SSchool, Mbikpong, as at 9:45 a.m.
