The Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator
Chris Ngige has requested the government of the United Arab Emirate (UAE) to
activate the process of labour migration and employment of skilled Nigerian
workers in their country.

Ngige spoke on the condolence visit by the UAE’s
Ambassador to Nigeria, Amb. Mahmood Almahmood on the death of late Minister of
State for Labour and Employment, James Ocholi.

Sen. Ngige urged the UAE to activate the process
of legal migration of skilled Nigerian middle-level-workers into their country
under the International Labour Migration guidelines.

Responding, Amb. Mahmood Mohammed promised the
cooperation of his country in promoting trade and other bilateral relations
with Nigeria.
