NIMASA URGED TO PROVIDE SEATIME TRAINING FOR CADETS



-           The Chairman, National Seafarers Welfare Board, Chief Kunle Folarin has urged Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) to focus on seatime  training of cadet officers of the Nigerian Seafarers Development Programme (NSDP).

-          Folarin made the request in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos during the closing of maritime activities on Friday.
-          He considered lack of seatime training as a major challenge since the past 10 years.
-          Folarin who is also the Chairman, Port Consultative Council of Nigeria (PCCN), noted that competent managers are needed in NIMASA.
