The Lagos State Commands of the Nigeria Security
and Civil Defence Corps and the Department of State Services have promised to
work together to ensure adequate security of waterways and other infrastructure
in Lagos.
-
The agencies identified pipeline vandalism and
exploitation of creeks by miscreants to perpetrate crimes as major areas that
required better policing.
-
These were among other discussions between the
agencies during a courtesy visit by the new Commandant of the NSCDC, Tajudeen
Balogun, to the DSS Director, Lagos State Command, Kunle Ajanaku.
-
A statement on Sunday said Balogun urged sister
security agencies to shun competition and work together to ensure adequate
protection of lives and property, as well as the country’s critical
infrastructure.
