ORILE POLICE DETENTION OF SCHOOL KIDS: LAGOS GOVT. INTERCEDES



-           The office of the Public Advice Centre (PAC), an initiative of the Lagos State Government, yesterday invited Samuel Nwankwo who narrated his ordeal at the Orile police station where he was illegally detained.

-          Other school children arrested by police, still in their uniforms were reported to have been with him in the same police cell.
-          The 40-year-old businessman alleged that he was detained after some armed men in mufti arrested him few metres to his residence around 2am.
-          While in detention, he learnt that the school children he saw were there for days, while police were demanding their parents to pay between N10, 000.00 and N20, 000.00 for their release.
