POLICE GETS NEW AIG, 10 COMMISSIONERS

-           The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the promotion of 156 police officers including the Kano Commissioner of police, Musa Mohammed, promoted to Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG).

-          PSC also promoted 10 Deputy Commissioners of Police to the ranks of Commissioners of Police.

-          Reportedly, 19 Assistant Commissioners of Police have been promoted to Deputy Commissioners of Police, 20 Chief Superintendents of Police are promoted to Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSP), 4 Inspectors elevated to Assistant Superintendents of Police and junior officers trained as Pilots were upgraded to DSP.

-          The promotions have been conveyed to the Inspector General of Police and takes effect from March 18, 2016.
