PRIVATE SECTOR PROTESTS EXCLUSION FROM NIGERIA’S ECONOMIC TEAM



-           The Organised Private Sector (OPS) has criticized the non-representation of her members in the Federal Government’s Economic Management Team.

-          The current Economic Management Team (EMT) of Buhari’s administration is headed by the vice President, Yemi Osinbajo.
-          OPS comprise, Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), National Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (NASME), Nigerian Employment Consultative Association (NECA), Nigerian Association of Small Scale Industrialists (NASSI) and Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG).
-          Members of the EMT include, Chief of Staff to the President, Alhaji Kyari; Deputy Chief of Staff, Ade Ipaye; Minister of Budget and National Planning, Udoma Udo Udoma; Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun; Minister of State for Petroleum, Ibe Kachikwu; Minister of Trade and Investment, Okechukwu Enelamah; Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, and the DG of the debt Management Office (DMO).
