REC READS RIOT ACT TO STAFF AHEAD OF MARCH 19 POLLS

-          The Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Rivers State, Elder Aniedi Ikoiwok, has told staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to shun electoral malpractices.

-          He said that he will personally facilitate the termination of the appointment off any staff who engages in any form of malpractice.

-          Ikoiwok gave the warning in an extra-ordinary meeting with staff of the commission from the 23 Local Government Areas in the State, including those at the headquarters in Port Harcourt, recently.

-          He urged the staff to protect the integrity of the commission and the electoral process and to ensure that their personal interests and preferences do not interfere with their jobs.
