South-West chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has agreed that the
party’s chairmanship position should remain in the North.

Reportedly, the decision will make the party
more appealing to all parts of the country.

PDP leaders from the South-West zone visited the
PDP Chairman, Ali Modu Sherif, and disclosed that the emergence of a
South-Westerner as the party chairman will portray PDP as a regional party.

The delegation led by Senator Buruji Kashamu,
comprised PDP chairmen from all the South-West states.
