Ekpene, last week disqualified self from hearing a suit involving Assemblies of
God Church in Nigeria.

Suit No. HT/ 7/ 2016 was brought by the
registered trustees of the church and five others.

The group which includes Rev. Emmanuel Udoikpa
and other church leaders are alleged to have formed themselves into a
break-away faction, seeking recognition by the church.

The Judge who is also a member of the church
disqualified himself from hearing the substantive matter and transferred it to
the honourable chief judge of the state.
