UMEH, AKPOBOLOKEMI LOSES BID TO STOP N754.7M FRAUD CHARGES



-           A Lagos State High Court, Igbosere, has dismissed the preliminary objection raised by the immediate past Director-General of Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Patrick Akpolobokemi, against the charges filed against him.

-          The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) charged Akpobolokemi and six others with the alleged fraud of N754.7 million before Justice Raliat Adebiyi.
-          The alleged accomplices of Akpobolokemi are Ekene Nwakuche, Ezekiel Agaba, Vincent Udoye, Governor Juan, Adegboyga Olopoenia and Gama Marine Nigeria Limited.
-          Upon being arraigned on January 25, the accused persons had all pleaded not guilty.
