WOMEN ARE NOT SEX OBJECTS, FIDA BLASTS NDUME

-           The International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), has berated the Senate Leader, Ali Ndume for encouraging the Senate President and Nigerian men to marry second wives.

-          FIDA insisted that the lawmaker's call was disparaging and intended to demean Nigerian women.

-          The association in its statement said it was outraged that Ndume gave the advice on the floor of the senate chambers.

-          Such utterances according to FIDA, portrayed women as “sex objects”, whose clamour for gender equality could only be realized by being married off by men.
