
- Gov. Ibrahim Gaidam of Yobe State, has approved N20 million for the immediate restoration of water supply to eight communities severely affected by Boko Haram deadly attacks.
- The benefitting Yobe communities are Gujba, Buni Gari, Wagir, Mutai, Katarko, Jamtari and Garin Itache.
- The Director of Press Affairs to the governor, Alhaji Abdullahi Bego, also spoke of Government’s plan to help people displaced by Boko Haram insurgents to return to their homes.
- He noted that the need assessment carried out showed that the first and most basic service they need is access to clean drinking water.
