DIEZANI TO APPEAR BEFORE HOUSE OF REP, MARCH 2.

-          House of Representatives summons former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke.

-          She is to explain how she extended contracts for crude oil worth $24bn without valid agreements.

-          Two firms were given the swap contracts in 2011 under the controversial crude-for-refined products deal.

-          At the expiration of the contract in 2011, Diezani reportedly ordered an ‘extension’ till 2014 without any valid agreements with the firms.
