- A’Ibom state Ministry of Lands and Town Planning says it has taken full possession of the former Uyo Main Market where trespasser recently tried to encroach.

The commissioner, Prince Uwem Etuk who stated
this in a statement by his media aide Mr. Abasifreke Effiong, advised the
public against doing any transaction with any person or group of persons over
the said land.

Prince Uwem Etuk said that the former Uyo Main
Market is a crown land which title was transferred to A’Ibom State Government
from the old Cross River State.

The commissioner stated that the State
Government will evict all those who have trespassed on government lands,
insisting that sponsored media messages cannot deter government from reclaiming
her lands.
