AKWA IBOM STATE GOVERNMENT HAS TAKEN OVER FORMER UYO MAIN MARKET


 
      -          A’Ibom state Ministry of Lands and Town Planning says it has taken full possession of the former Uyo Main Market where trespasser recently tried to encroach.
-          The commissioner, Prince Uwem Etuk who stated this in a statement by his media aide Mr. Abasifreke Effiong, advised the public against doing any transaction with any person or group of persons over the said land.
-          Prince Uwem Etuk said that the former Uyo Main Market is a crown land which title was transferred to A’Ibom State Government from the old Cross River State.
-          The commissioner stated that the State Government will evict all those who have trespassed on government lands, insisting that sponsored media messages cannot deter government from reclaiming her lands.
