EFCC on Friday arrested Hon. Ogonnaya Francis Nwaifo
for allegedly diverting N60million meant for his constituency.

Mr.
Ilupeju Jide of Enugu Zonal Headquarters of EFCC said the Speaker was arrested when
EFCC officials stormed Akanu Ibiam International Airport.

The
statement explained that the Speaker’s arrest was over an alleged
misappropriation of over N60 million project funds for Izzi West constituency.

EFCC
revealed that the Speaker was served with a letter of invitation on 20th
October, 2015, which was received and acknowledged, but he failed to honour the
invitation.
