INEC TAKES A U- TURN IN ABIA NORTH RE- RUN ELECTION.

-           There is confusion as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Mao Ohuabunwa the winner of the Senatorial election, after it had declared the election inconclusive.

-          The PPA Chairman describes the act as a robbery, and enjoins INEC to respect the wish of the people.

-          Following the twist, political observers in Abia have expressed shock and surprise at the turn of events, and they slam the electoral body.

-          In the result released by INEC, PPA garnered 25,814 votes, PDP candidate scored 26,009 votes, APGA candidate scored 13,633 votes, LP candidate scored 147 votes and APC candidate garnered 976 votes.
