The wife of the A’Ibom state Gov., Mrs. Martha
Udom led the women of the state to thank God for his faithfulness to women as
part of events for the international women’s day.

The service to mark this year’s international
women’s day took place at Qua Iboe Church, Ikot Ekpene road Uyo, last Sunday.

Speaking during the service, Mrs. Martha Udom
expressed satisfaction that the world has come to a realization that women
should be celebrated and not neglected at the back ground.

She beseeched encouragement from church leaders,
civil society, voluntary organisation, and individuals for the women to enable
them contribute their quota to national growth and development.
