JAMB EXAM VALIDITY TO EXTEND TO THREE YEARS

  • The senate resolved to amend the act establishing the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to extend the validity of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to three years.
  • This came after considering the report of the Committee on Tertiary Institutions and TETFUND, chaired by Senator Binta Garba.
  • The senate also agreed to cut the cost of registration to N2,500, while change of course form and institution and other service by the board will be free.
  • The senate however rejected a move to cut the Examination cost for WAEC and NECO by 70 percent.
