KADUNA PUPILS DESERT SCHOOL AFTER EATING FREE MEALS

-           Kaduna State Government yesterday expressed concern over the desertion of schools by primary school pupils after taking the free meals offered to them.

-          The pupils have developed the habit of leaving school immediately after the meal, with the excuse of going to drink water.

-           State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Dr. Shehu Adamu told newsmen in Kaduna that government was disturbed by the development.

-          He pleaded with parents to ensure their wards remain in school after the free meals, in order not to jeopardize the programme.
