LAND DISPUTES IN UYO FINALLY SETTLED




  -     The protracted legal battle over a piece of land called “Ikot Iso Enen Qua Iboe Church” between Nung Obio Enang and Idoro Obio Group of Villages has officially been settled in the State High Court, Uyo.

  -      The Plaintiff, Idoro Obio Group of Villages maintained that the donation of the piece of land to Qua Iboe Church and the Society of Geriatric Health of Nigeria by a resolution on Friday 31, 2008, is binding on all members of the council.
  -      Moreover, they demanded for a whooping sum of N2million as damages and also ordered for a perpetual injunction to restrain the Defendants, Nung Obio Enang, their agents or privies from further acts of trespass.
  -      The defendants, Nung Obio Enang also demanded for the sum of N500, 000.00 for damages.
