- Chief of Training and Operations (CTOP) at the Army Head-quarters, Abuja, Major-General Yusha’u Abubakar yesterday died in an auto crash along Maiduguri-Damaturu Road.
- The
General, who was the immediate past Theatre Commander of Operation Lafia Dole,
was travelling with the Acting General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Armoured
Division when the accident occurred.
- The
CTOP died immediately, while the Acting GOC, Brigadier-General Muhammadu Aliyu,
alongside two soldiers is in critical condition.
- This
incident occurred barely three days after the Minister of State for Labour and
Productivity, Mr. James Ocholi (SAN), died in a road crash.
