MISCONDUCT; NJC QUERIES ENUGU CHIEF JUDGE




-           The National Judicial Council has given a two week ultimatum to Enugu state Chief Judge, Justice Umezulike to respond to allegations of misconducts brought against him.

-          The letter signed by CJN and chairman NJC, was directed to Umezulike to respond to a petition against him by a alegal practitioner, Mr.Peter N. Eze.
-          In the petition, Eze alleged judicial misconducts against Umezulike, to include accepting a gift of N10 million from a litigant who was a plaintiff.
-          The Chief Judge was also accused of altering a court order for the purposes of assisting a judgment creditor to gain possession of a parcel of land in dispute.
