- The national Assembly yesterday promised Nigerians that it would pass the 2016 budget on the 17th of March.
- The chairman of the Senate and House of Representatives Committee on Appropriation, Sen, Danjuma Goje and Hon Jibrin Abdulmumin stated this at a joint press briefing.
- They hinted that the committees will submit their reports on March 16 in hopes that it would be passed the next day.
- The lawmakers had earlier scheduled to pass the budget on february 25th, 2016, but postponed it due to discrepancies in the budget.
