- The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) and the Consumer Protection Council (CPC) has sealed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
- The MoU is to to ensure that consumers get meters as prescribed in the service agreement of electricity distribution companies (DisCos).
- The two organisations are also to work closely with consumers to ensure that those who volunteered to pay for meters get their meters within 60 days or not to be billed until meters were provided.
- Acting Chairman, NERC, Dr. Anthony Akah, believes that the collaboration with the CPC would be effectively managing customer complains.
