- Nigerians may face another round of hardship aside the present fuel scarcity, as workers in the electricity sector may commence an indefinite strike and shut down power supply.

The unions, National Union of Electricity
Employees (NUEE), the Senior Staff Association of Electricity and Allied
Companies (SSAEAC) warned that they would have no alternative if the workers
are not recalled.

400 electricity staff were allegedly sacked by
the Ikeja Distribution Company (IKEDC).

The General Secretary, NUEE, Mr. Joe Ajaero said
the two unions would embark on the strike from tomorrow, as its seven day
ultimatum issued has expired.
