POLICE OFFICERS FACE TRIAL OVER DEATH OF UNDERGRADUATE



-          Fourteen police officers are currently facing trial over alleged killing of one Derek Ben and five others two years ago.

-          The officers including one DSP Horsefall from Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS), of Cross River Police Command, were dismissed by police authorities having been found guilty of engaging in extra judicial killings on April 17, 2014.
-          The officers, who had been in detention since 2014, were dismissed after appearing before the Police Service Commission that sat in Abuja in 2015.
-          The senior officers facing trial are DSP Horsefall Ntinefruo, ASP Etim Anoke and ASP Raphael Ewah.
