- Parents lament exorbitant WAEC registration charges by government secondary schools.
- It is alleged that illegal WAEC registration fees ranging from N25, 000 to N40, 000.00.00 were collected from students.
- Some concerned parents have concluded plans to petition Principals of the affected schools, the Ministry of Education and its Commissioner to the state Governor.
- Some of the schools alleged to have collected WAEC Registration fees from students include: Community Secondary Commercial School, Ibiaku Itam, Lott Carey Baptist School, Afaha Obio Eno, West Itam Secondary School, Ekit Itam and Itam Secondary School, Obong Itam.
