TARABA STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY ELECTS NEW SPEAKER

-           The Taraba state House of Assembly has elected Hon. Peter Abel Diah as the new speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly.

-          The outgoing Speaker, Hon. Mark Bako Useni had tendered a resignation on the plenary of the house.

-          Hon. Useni tendered the resignation during Thursday plenary, giving personal reasons why he could not continue with the leadership position.

-          Clark of the house, Mr. Smaili Ukwem read the house standing rules, citing the order that empowers the house to elect a new speaker, whenever there was a vacuum.
