The Special Assistant to the Governor on Local
Media, Hon. Uko Friday Umoh, has called on media practitioners in the state to
shun sensational journalism.
He advised that all reportage be factual,
truthful and in tandem with the ethics and tenets of the journalism profession.
- - He gave this advice during the maiden
thanksgiving service of Federated Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalist,
held at the Apostolic Church, Ewet Housing Estate, Uyo.
- - The Governor’s Aide however, commended the
leadership of the Federated Chapel for eliminating quackery in the chapel, and
urged them to keep the flag flying.
