The
Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), says fuel scarcity
in Nigeria may persist till the Federal Government, FG takes effective action
on the availability of petroleum products.
-
This declaration came even as independent oil
marketers and other private petroleum products operators accused the Nigaria
National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) of running a monopolistic system.
-
NUPENG President, Comrade Igwe Achese noted that
if the FG has a political will to address the issues, Nigeria will get out of
the quagmire.
-
Reportedly, NNPC, through its subsidiaries is
trying to resolve the fuel scarcity issue, but would only succeed with the
commitment of other stakeholders.
