million youths in the country may lose their jobs, and the state may face
scarcity of drinking water, following the closure of some sachet water
production factories in Kano.

Alhaji Muktar Tata, Secretary-General of Kano
state chapter of Association of Sachet Water Producers of Nigeria, made the
disclosure while speaking with newsmen in Kano.

According to Tatar, most producers would shut
down due to increased price of polythene used for packaging the commodity.

Alhaji Takar said prices of the material have
risen from N480, 000 per tonne in January, to N 1.1 million presently.
