2 MILLION YOUTHS TO LOSE JOBS IN KANO

-           About 2 million youths in the country may lose their jobs, and the state may face scarcity of drinking water, following the closure of some sachet water production factories in Kano.

-          Alhaji Muktar Tata, Secretary-General of Kano state chapter of Association of Sachet Water Producers of Nigeria, made the disclosure while speaking with newsmen in Kano.

-          According to Tatar, most producers would shut down due to increased price of polythene used for packaging the commodity.

-          Alhaji Takar said prices of the material have risen from N480, 000 per tonne in January, to N 1.1 million presently.
